Rosehip Oil

Our Conscious Organic Rosehip Oil is a Red/Orange colour being Virgin and Unrefined Rosehip Oil and has a unique, gentle scent. Virgin Oils contain the most nutrients and have a unique odour and colour some people might not be used to if they have been using commercial /retail products from stores.

Rosehip oil is high in vitamins such as vitamin C and A, a rich source of antioxidants and essential fatty acids. These vitamins can help reduce signs of skin aging and may help prevent fine lines. This oil also contains antioxidants like tocopherol and carotenoids that have been known to protect the skin and rosehip oil is also rich in anti-inflammatory acids that may help soothe redness and irritation.

Properties: Anti-oxidant, anti-aging, high in fatty acids, anti-inflammatory, rich in vitamin A and C, antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal.

Skincare: Due to its high anti-inflammatory fatty acid content, rosehip oil is very moisturizing, softens the skin and may help repair damaged aging skin, inflammation and redness caused by eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis, without leaving an oily feeling. It has astringent properties that will help tighten pores and loose feeling skin.

Due to being rich in vitamin A, C, E and fatty acids, this is a perfect oil to help fade away fine lines, unsightly scars or stretch marks. Even though it is well suited to all skin types, it is especially well suited for use on acne-prone skin, easing redness and irritation associated with breakouts, it will also not clog pores as this is a dry non-greasy oil. It will greatly help ease the effects of sunburn, like redness and inflammation and will help with moisturizing and the healing process.

Haircare: Rosehip oil has great hair conditioning properties, a small amount massaged into the hair and scalp will nourish dry hair, helping ease itchy scalp and dandruff. The oil will be absorbed quickly and not leave an oily feeling. As it is rich in vitamins, it can help nourish limp, dull, brittle and damaged hair, adding bounce and body.

Hand care: This oil can help nourish and strengthen dry and brittle nails and keep the cuticles supple. It is recommended to do a skin patch test to check for a possible allergic reaction, before using certain oils in large quantities on the skin.
